VOLUNTEER

Give your time to support canvassing efforts, event execution, mentorship, and neighborhood initiatives. Volunteers are essential to our community engagement work, and every hand strengthens what we can accomplish together.

Canvassing: Walk neighborhoods alongside our team to distribute resources, build relationships, and connect residents to support.

Event Support: Help plan, set up, and execute community events including block parties, youth programming, and partner gatherings.

Mentorship: Become a mentor to a young person in our community. Training and support provided.

Administrative Support: Help with office tasks, data entry, outreach calls, and organizational projects.

Businesses and organizations can collaborate with Team Pursuit through sponsorships, resource sharing, youth employment pipelines, and listing in our Community Hub Resource Directory.

Corporate Partnerships: Align your brand with community transformation through sponsorship, employee volunteer programs, or direct investment.

2010

YOUTH EMPOWERMENT ORIGINS

Creating safe environments where communities can heal, connect, and thrive without fear. We build peace through presence, relationship, and trust.

2012

DARE TO DREAM

Hosted the first major community event in Detroit—a dynamic youth experience designed to ignite vision and purpose. This marked a defining shift in the movement.

2013

DARE TO BECOME

Expanded from dreaming to becoming. More conferences, mentorship, community experiences, and partnerships began building the foundation for what Team Pursuit would grow into.

2015-2020

COMMUNITY VIOLENCE INTERVENTION

As community needs deepened, Team Pursuit expanded to include violence intervention using credible messengers, trauma-informed care, and conflict mediation—one critical program within a broader mission.

2020-PRESENT

HOLISTIC WELLNESS ECOSYSTEM

Today, Team Pursuit operates as a comprehensive community wellness organization integrating mentorship, wraparound support, workforce readiness, digital infrastructure, and community engagement.

THE DREAM CENTER

A 120,000 sq ft transformational facility that will serve as a permanent home for innovation, healing, education, and community empowerment in Detroit.
